Walsall is a great place to live |
||
|
Good afternoon, Following a number of media reports with regards to Walsall, which was named as the most deprived place in the UK, according to the Demos-PWC Good Growth for Cities Index 2025, our commander at Walsall LPA has responded with the following statement. Chief Superintendent Phil Dolby, commander at Walsall LPA, said: “Walsall is a great place to live and work but like everywhere there are challenges and we are aware of problems with regards to crime and anti-social behaviour. “Since the introduction of a new local policing model overall crime has dropped nearly 20 percent over the last three years in Walsall. “As well as our neighbourhood teams we now have a dedicated Problem Solving and Priorities team which identifies areas of concern and tackles them head on. “We also work extremely closely with our partners including Walsall Council, housing providers as well as our community. “We are supporting our partners in the delivery of Our We Are Walsall 2040 plan and we’re working with our residents and our partners to make all parts of Walsall safer.”
